It was a tough decision this time. BUT we both decided we didnt want to find out. We didnt like the idea of calling the baby by its name before its here. PLUS when I had my C/S after my labor and DH got to announce that Emma was a girl it was such an amazing moment for us, Ill never forget.

I wanted to find out sooooooo bad and DH did not want to know... We went for a sonogram and the tech was like, so, do you wanna know what you are having and Brian was like YEAH--- so we found out.. and then told the whole world!![]()

We have not found out and want it to be a surprise! But I have to admit, I might have caved in, but DH is very serious about not knowing!

I don't want to know, but DH does. And I know it'll KILL me to know that he knows and I don't!

At first I did not want to find out. Six months into my pregnancy I decided that I really wanted to know. It was weird because my reasoning was I really didn't feel connected to the baby. I thought if I knew what he was I could feel closer to 'it'. Knowing the sex at 6 months was still a BIG SURPRISE for us I rememberDH and I crying in ultrasound room! Then we went out and brought him his first blue outfit. It's definitely a very personal decision to make, either way its going to be a surprise!

I don't want to know. My dad's side of the family never finds out and I would like to keep that tradition. I like to be surprised!

We aren't going to find out. I have always wanted to be surprised at least for the 1st baby. Although, I would love to know, I feel there are so few surprises in life these days, that this will be a wonderful one. I also figure, with labor and pushing, it will be so nice to hear, its a ..... Rather than knowing in advance. I am surprised at the number of people who are choosing not to find out. Out of my friends and 9 babies, I am the first one not to find out.

The way I see it, there are so few true surprises in life that we decided not to find out and make the delivery even more exciting for us.

This is exactly how we feel. Neither of us want to know. We feel the same way about surprises and we also decided that boy or girl we weren't going to paint the nursery blue or pink so we didn't see any advantage to finding out. Plus it's so much fun to hear everyone guess and everyone else is so excited to not know.

We don't want to know.....although it is bugging the hell out of me...I am so impatient.....I think about it morning, noon, and night....but I agree with Kptoys...it must really be an amazing thing for your DH to announce what it is.

We didn't find out. But the weird thing was the entire time we called it 'he' and I convinced myself it was a boy. When the doctor said 'its a boy butt' (he was born butt first via c/s), somehow we were not surprised. Its like we 'knew' it all along, even though we never found out.

This is a personal decision - even though everyone insisted on putting in their opinion, even when my hubby and I didn't want to hear it!! We both wanted to find out that way we could be ready (nursery, clothes, etc,), plus I feel like I bonded with my son more before he was born because he was Jordan before I even held him in my arms. The surprise will still be there, because we have no idea what our little princess will look like. ![]()
