Did you get

limos for your parents too? My FI and I just wanted to have one limo/rolls royce for us, since we're not having any groomsmen (just three girls for me). But, now his mother says she wants a limo! What did everyone do?

my parents are going with me and the bm's to the ceremony and then w/ just the bm's to the reception. My sister or aunt will be taking them back home.

So, you got two limos? What about FI's parents?

Re: Did you get

it is only my fi's dad - his mom passed away. This is my fi's second wedding, so his dad is being a grumpy old (73yrs) man! He doesn't know why we are having a big wedding (its my first!) I think his daughter will be driving him. We are having another limo for the guys, though. So, we are having two, plus me and my fi are leaving the church in an antique car!

Okay, I get it! Thanks

Anyone else have any input/suggestions?

Re: Did you get

fyi - the reason my parents are going in the limo is because they are paying for a majority of the wedding!! Otherwise, i know many people who didn't have a limo for them - it's just a preference, not a requirement or ettiquite. As with everything for your wedding, do what makes you happy and comfortable!

I am trying to decide myself right now!! More than likely, we will just have two limos-one for me and girls (and dad) and FH and groomsman! I am not in the position to overdo the whole thing!! We are trying to budget!! All the details need to be worked out though.

I agree-do what is right and works for you!!

Re: Did you get

Thanks again, Karen! I would prefer just one limo for us, but if it's going to keep the peace to stick her in a limo, I may just do it. Just wondering who else should go in it then - and how do I say yes to her and not have my mom in one then?

Re: Did you get

well, i can't help you there - i'm usually the one who just gives in w/out making waves! But, what about using a Lincoln Town Car for her and your bm's? The cars are really nice and not too expensive. Good luck!

Re: Did you get

our parents were in the limo on the way to the church, but not to the reception or home.

We only had ONE limo. It picked up the guys and Al's parents, took them to the church, then came and got me, my girls and my parents and took us to the church. After the ceremony, all the bridal party went in the limo, and our parents went off on their own (they didn't want limos)

Also, our limo did not wait for us during the reception. We rode to the hotel with my sister.

That's a good idea, Lisa. But, what happens at the hall when the others need a ride home?

Re: Did you get

I booked 2 limos... one for FH & I and the bridal party (we wanted all to be together), and then one for our parents... it was just our preference to do it that way. It is totally up to you!

Re: Did you get

I think it is preference. We booked a 4 passenger Rolls Royce to take me, my mom and dad to the Church and then FI and I to the hall. Then we have a limo for the bridal party and a smaller limo that holds only 6 people for his parents. They are coming from Staten Island to Long Island and don't want to drive in the traffic. They would rather have a worry free ride. After Church my parents will just get a car with relatives.
