Meaning...did you get married from oldest to youngest?
1 of the reasons DH and I waited so long to get married was because we come from old school families that believe that he couldnt get married until his older sister did. But we said 'screw it' and did what we wanted!

I wanted to get married before my younger sister, who is waiting for me to get married. FH has an older unmarried brother and asked his brother if he was ever getting married before he proposed. His brother is probably not getting married anytime in the near future.

yup...but I would seriously hope that would have been the case since I'm the oldest and my sister who is closest in age to me is 7 years younger...3 of my sisters are all w/in 4 years of each other though (currently 19, 18 and 16) so when it comes their time it will be interesting...

Not intentionally, but yes we did. I'll be the last.
I wouldn't wait for my older siblings to get married before me, though. Everyone should get married when it's right for them.

So far it's working out that way in my family. I'm the oldest and the first to get married. Not so much for FH... He has an older sister and a twin sister and he's the first in the family. We don't think it's a big deal at all.

i am one of 4 girsl also! We aren't getting married in order but 3 of us have/are getting married within a 2.5 year period- god help my mother!
and it really has more to do with how long we've been with our men, the first to marry is 7 years together, me anf FH 6 years, and the next is 3 years...

my sister is FOURTEEN years older than me and my brother is TWELVE years older than me so THANK GOD we did it in order LOL my sister got married in 1997 ( i think lol) my brother got married in 2003 and I am 2008!

i'm the youngest at 22 and i have a brother who is 28 and a sister who is 32... i will be the first getting married.
my sister and brother have had VERY bad luck in finding love and it breaks my heart b/c i feel bad being the first one but what can i do? it def puts a damper on it for me when i allow myself to dwell on it .

No I was the last to get married and I am the third child. However, my husband and I have been together for 12 years, so that should count for something. Hehehe

I guess I did, but not intentionally. My younger brother doesn't even have a GF at the moment.
DH did too, come to think of it - he's the youngest and his two siblings were married.

My sister and I are only 17 months apart in age...and I got engaged first..but now she is going to have her wedding first. She has saved and saved already...so she is able to get this done in a year or under...so that is that! I was upset at first but now im not. I just hope that all the family travels in for my day too..and not just hers :(

yep! i'm the oldest (my sister is 12!! she better not be getting married soon, nor my 10 year old brother) if you count hallowedding as my sister (we grew up as sisters in the same household) she's older than me (not by much) and is getting married this year! FH's older brother got married 2 years ago and has a baby and we'll be next since his younger brother is lame

im second out of three girls.. and im getting married first.. i do feel kinda bad to my older sister though.... especially cause she was with someone for five years and then he decided he doesn't want to be married... what a coward!!

We didn't do it on purpose, but yes that's the way it worked out!!
My older bro married in 1997.
Then I got married this year.
We have a younger bro who's 22 and still single. Anyone have a sister/friend for him??

I did - my brother got married last year and I am getting married next year and he is older.
My Fi, on the other hand, he has 2 brothers and the middle is getting married first, then the youngest (my FI) and then the oldest.
