Did you get to keep your sample CP? My florist said no.

Did you get to keep your sample CP? My florist said no.

I just called my florist to inquire about a certificate of insurance and I said I'd see him tomorrow to pick up my sample centerpiece.

He said they are only doing the sample, that I don't get to take it home.

I didn't know if that was normal so I just said thank you because I didn't know that previously and I hung up.

Each centerpiece is about $100. so I'm not going to pay for it to take it home; that money can be better spent elsewhere. But now I know that I have to take my camera with me!

But is this normal? I always assumed that all the CP's pictures I see here were taken at your homes instead of the florist.

Nope, we left ours there. They keep them as displays to show other customers.

Yeah we left ours there as well. I just assumed that we had to leave it there, so I did not even ask to take it home. I figured they use it as sample's for the shop.

yeah... exactly. You'll get to keep the one on your wedding day, but you'll have to take it on your honeymoon to appreciate it! lol

I had samples made by various florists before I found one I was very happy with. Only one florist let me take the sample, but it wasn't even 100% finished.

I feel better that he's not 'jipping' me but I'm sad we won't get to keep them.

You said it best, you don't get to enjoy any of these flowers for more than one day! Man, I love flowers. And I love taking pictures of flowers.

Well my florist should be prepared then. Because I'm bringing my black canvas backdrop, tripod and both lenses with me for the 'photo shoot'!
