Did you get your readers a gift??

Our readers are our parents. So we brought them this frame and at the wedding we are going to take a picture with each one of them and then give it to them as the rest of their gift.

i didn't yet but i will (both of us seem to be running out of time!) i was planning on getting my godmother (the only reader) a lenox frame at the outlets this weekend and have the photographer take of picture of me and her on my wedding day.

i would rather get her a book or something you know because she's doing a reading, get a book. but everything i came up with seemed impersonal. and i didn't like the thought of a gift certificate either.

so a frame it is

Four our 19 yr old niece, I got her a tote from American Eagle, a pair of flip flops & a halter top - a little beach kit.

For my brother, gave him a bottle of a wine he likes.

we gave the men money clips and my cousin (female) a pair of earrings.

We have 3 readers, all women. I am getting them a pair of Nambe votive candles.

We decided only to give them corsages. I don't think that a gift is needed, to be honest.

However, when we went to get the groomsmen gifts, at Things Remembered, we saw that we could get these pretty pillar candles in a heart shape for $5 with our purchase. We did that and gave them to the readers as well. What the heck - they were pretty as anything. But if the option wasn't there for us, we wouldn't have gotten anything else other than the corsages.

My readers are two close friends who would have been in the actual bridal party if we weren't keeping it small so I am going to probably get them something from Tiffany's. A necklace or bracelet I think.

We did bookmarks engraved with their names and a gift certificate to Borders.

we had tom's aunt, who happens to also be his godmother, as our only reader. she loves tom dearly and is a wonderful woman, so we wanted to get her something special. we decided on a pair of earrings which had both of our birthstones (citrine and diamond) in them. she loved them and wore them to the wedding!
