I feel like guests should be able to call or electronically RSVP.
Did anyone else do this? How did you word it?

Re: Did you give electronic/phone RSVP option?
I feel like that would be a waste of stamps. If I'm going to put 39 cents on each RSVP card then I would hope that they are mailed back to me. While an electronic method sounds good, it also seems like a waste of money.

Yes, you can place a line at the bottom of the reception card, something like
'Please R.S.V.P. via postcard included or through our website www.thehappycouple.com.'
I have seen it done both ways before.

Re: Did you give electronic/phone RSVP option?
No i didnt put that option on there...I didn't want to constantly get calls with people rsvp'ing, and not only that but yeah, i spent over $100 on stamps, mail it back lol, not to mention i had trouble getting the stamps and went through bs to get them so yeah lol...One of his friends did call and say he is coming, which was obvious lol but he said he is keeping the card and everything lol

Re: Did you give electronic/phone RSVP option?
I am sending the usual RSVP card,
but then am sending a group e-mail newletter with a link to your website where people can RSVP there too.
(shhh......don't tell anyone, but its through theknot)
There is no way on earth I would have wanted to keep track of RSVPs that were not in my hand.
ETA: IMHO, if you give someone the option to pick up the phone & RSVP they will think the wedding isn't formal, or won't take the invite and the need to RSVP very seriously. Do you really want 50 phone calls on the last day to RSVP (or a flood of emails??). I also think that someone that RSVP'd yes via phone will absolutely think nothing of not coming to the wedding (not that people who mail the card necessarily give it a thought when they decide not to show up), but somehow the phone call thing just removes all the formality and elegance from the affair. Again, JMHO.
