Did you go shopping with your mom for a dress?

My mom and FMIL are very good friends (which I absolutely love!) and they have been planning on going dress shopping together. They are actually in the next room speaking about it, since I work at my parent's company and FMIL came to visit.

I thought maybe I would be invited to go, but neither one of them has asked. I know they aren't doing it to leave me out, but they were both invited to go dress shopping with me and came? They even just asked me where they should go look.

Maybe it's just because they are such good friends? They are both awesome so like I said, I don't think it's anything intentional.

Side, note if it matters--last weekend I went with my BM's to get their dresses and I didn't invite either one of them...my mom said 'take pictures!' when I told her and I told her she was more than welcome to come, but she told me she couldn't because she was babysitting my niece, and that I should spend the day 'with the girls' anyway.

So I just wanted to see what you lovelies though! TIA!

that is so cute!! I'm also very lucky that our moms get along so well! They talk on the phoen all the time is adorable lol. I know his mom started to look, but my mom told me she wants me to go with her. I kinda felt bad bc I onyl took my mom for my dress, and I keep thinking maybe thats why his mom wont ask me to go with her lol.

My Mom and I never really had a conversation about it... we kind of just went! We talked about places to go and we picked a day I had off and she got her dress that same day!

Maybe your Mom and FMIL just want to hang out and talk about things they might be doing for the bride

I went with my FMIL and Step-Mom together more times than we went looking for my own dress!! They just assumed I enjoyed going with them. At first it wasn't bad until it turned into every weekend for 2 months straight.

I didn't go with my mom and won't be. She lives in Florida and I won't be down there before the wedding.

i didnt go with my mother or fmil. I didnt take anyone to find my dress because I have a wedding dress sitting in a closet never to be worn because someone liked that dress on me better from my last engagement. I learned from that lesson. I just told them nothing white and to have fun

I am going with my mom because I am buying her dress for her. (They gave us a FAT check last year to 'cover' their half of our wedding, and since then my mom lost her job and my dad broke his leg and is out of work for almost 3 months).

FMIL pushed to have me go dress shopping with her, but she is the kind of person that constantly fishes for compliments- and I don't play those games. Also, she said my mom has to pick a dress to make sure they don't wear the same color.

my sisters and i went with my mom at the same time that i dragged my sisters to look at BM dresses. i think my mom got jealous and wanted to try on dresses after seeing them

FMIL asked me to come but we had scheduling conflicts so she went w/o me. i have gone to see her try on the dresses though.

same here

maybe just casually ask your mom if she wants you to come or if she wants to go alone with FMIL. she is your mom after all, you should be able to ask that!

That's cute!

My mom actually went with my sister (to choose my sister's dress, but she ended up finding something that she loved!)

She was supposed to go with her bestie, since her bestie's son is getting married 3 weeks before me- they were going to choose their dresses together

But, I also live 5 hours away.....so that may have been the deterrent

I think it is cute that they want to go together!

I went to a place to try on dresses (first place I went) Mom decided to 'browse' the Moms section and 2nd dress she tried on - she bought - in the same color and same size! It was meant to be!
