Did you have to put together your own invitations??

Hi, we just received the invitations we ordered and they need to be put together (bows, paper overlay etc)....we were a little dissapointed b/c we were under the impression that they would already be assembled. Did anyone else have to do this??

I also wanted to add that although I think the invites are beautiful....for the amount of work I am going to put into them I could have bought all the materials at Michaels and made them myself for less than a quarter of the price I paid

Yup. I went this route. Did the invites myself. Came out great. $60 buks for 50 invites.

When i picked out my invites, my first choice had bows and when the printer said i had to put them together, i turned the page. Good luck.

this is one point our invite person pointed it out. so we found somthing even better that we thought we couldn't afford but required no assembly. by time we were buying bows, velum paper...etc (britchcraft), we ended up getting Encore invites

I put mine together. It took me 2 hours to do 110 invites. It was actually kinda fun. Heres a pic of what they look like (not my actual invite).

But with my invites I got the satin bows. I thought they were prettier

I made mine myself because of this...I had them printed by Rexcraft but customized them myself and saved a ton of money. It does take hours to put them together though...it took me 6!

I had to assemble mine...so I enlisted one of my bridesmaids to help. I think it took us about 2 hours to do 175 invites...not too bad, in my opinion.

I did look into the version of the invitation that i ended up getting that you do put together & found it to be not worth the time & I felt I wasn't saving all that much money. I have handing family members but I wanted them all to look alike & if I didn't like the way they turned out I could send them back to the company to fix. I just found it was too much work for 175 invitations.

Good luck I am sure they will come out beautifully.
