quick question......are you/did you have ushers telling where to seat people at your ceremony? Or, did everyone just seat themselves and go under the assumption that the first 2 rows are for immediate family?

the groomsmen where suppose too...but never did!
So when guests came in...they just left the pews w/ the bows for family...and sat after that!

i have my groomsman walking down with the ladies. since they will be at the church one hour prior to the start of the ceremony i'm thinking i may have they them with the seating until its time for them to walk my bm's down the aisle.

I'm not having ushers. I would think people would be smart enough to know that the first few rows are for immediate family.

Nah. everyone is going to seat themselves lol..Im not going to have a huge amount of guests...so I think they can manage to seat themselves

We are having ushers only because we really wanted to include my younger brothers and FH's nephew in the wedding somehow. They will be 16, 15, and 12 on the day of the wedding.
We didn't ask them to be groomsmen, so we asked them to be ushers and they're happy with being a part of the wedding. Besides seating everyone at the ceremony (we probably won't have many guests), they will also hand out programs, and after the ceremony, the petal cones.
At the reception, they're in charge of the guestbook.

yes, since we took pics before the ceremony, the groomsmen were unable to perform these duties. So I had two ushers doing it and handing out programs.

I have just 7 groomsmen and one jr groomsman, they will be escorting all people to there seats. We are not splitting up sides either, we are going to make it even.

We are having FH's two 19 year old nephews as ushers. They will be walking my FMIL down the isle and will also walk in with her for the reception, since my FFIL is the bestman.
