Did you hear about the possible LIRR increase??

I heard that it might be going up again. Ronkonkoma could go up as much as 22%!! I can't take this!!!

Yep, they have been talking about it since right before the RNC. I guess it got overshadowed

Another rate increase to the LIRR could be the thing needed to either stabalize or drop the RE market out in Long Island.

Shoot, it inspired me to get off LI. I don't make enough to pay another 22%

Not that NJ Transit is much better, but I'm glad the next few days will be my last on the LIRR.

I WAS in Ad Sales/Advertising/Media....but for the past year I've been doing Office Management, so you could call me the 'Jack of All Trades'

I'm just looking to do anything administrative on LI. I commute 2+hrs each way and it's taken it's toll.

There are a few ad companies in Queens. Still a commute, but not as bad.

Thanks so much! But...I'd have to drive to Queens I'm trying to find anything from Melville (the farthest) all the way to the Hamptons...

I truly appreciate you doing that for me. If you have any east end friends...

This is such crappy news!!! The first time I heard about it was right around the time of the RNC, but then it was only rumored to be 5%!! If Babylon goes up as much as Ronkonkoma is supposed to - I seriously won't be able to work in the city anymore. bloody he||!!!!!

There's supposed to be a hearing on November 9 about the fare hike. The good news is that Senator Kemp Hannon seems to be fighting this second increase, so hopefully that will make some kind of a difference if there's Senate backing! I really cannot stand the LIRR anymore....
