Just wondering. I invited 138 & he invited 100. He keeps telling me I invited so many people & that's why we are stressing out that we won't have enough room & money. But I feel like I've been pretty easygoing about who him & his parents invited. I guess it doesnt matter but I just want to be able to tell him that it's not unusual that the bride usually has more people, right?

Not really but my family's side has a lot more people than his family's. The wedding is mostly our friends and we're pretty even on those numbers, but my family's got a lot more friends. Hopefully his family doesn't mind...

haha! omg i invited about 120--he invited like 20 and together we invited about 30= 180
but we wound up only having about 108 ppl at the wedding---but only ONE table was his family, with 10 ppl at it. the rest were my family & friends, and some of our mutual friends!
at times DH would be upset about it--almost jealous that i had so many friends and family wiling to travel for our big day, but then he got over it!

LOL, sadly yes! I come from a big extended family! We even had to cut some out.
I invited 80, and FH invited about 40....

You guys aren't so lopsided. We had a split of about 100 to 50, and that's only because we counted our mutual friends on his side. On your scale, that's 100 him and 200 you.

No, he invited more!! Actually, it wasn't too skewed...his family/friends used 53 invites My family Friends used 45 invites.
He has alot more friends than me (due to considering every fireman in his company a 'close' friend) and my parents have alot more friends than his.

We were pretty even, although FH's extended family is a little larger than mine.
Unfortunately, I am having WAY more people attend than him. His mom has been pretty anti-social with her family (she has like 5 brothers and sisters) and never made an effort for FH to get to know them and his cousins, so they're not coming.

Well apparently my FH side invited more, 150 people and I invited 111. I cut all ties with sending more invites because it's getting ridiculous. I cut alot of people from my side but their attitude is, it happens once. Well yeah it happens once, but who is paying for it. ''US''..

Ohh my gosh my parents invited sooooo many more than FH's side. But out of friends he invited more then I did...he just has more friends

wow thats nothing...we are having about 120ppl and only about 12 are family and friends of my FH...it really makes me sad when i think about it

I actually think FH has more family & friends than me.
I have more friends than family coming - but his side of the list seems a little longer than mine.

yes... my family is a lot larger as well as more family friends. i think i had 9 tables and DH had 5.
