exactly what you wanted for your wedding, or did it just sort of come to you after you got engaged...

The wedding I always thought of was at the beach. I wore a plain white dress (NO BEADS)with a detachable train. I alwyas knew I was going to use Tommys Tunes for like 8 years now! I never thought about many details though. My real wedding is nothing like that. I looked at the beach front venues and could not afford them. Actually I could afford them if I cut my guest list down to less than 1/2. I decided to invite more people and have it at a cheaper venue. The more I thought about it, it was more important to me to have the people there than the venue. Then the dress... I tried on the exact dress I always dreamed of and it looked AWFUL on me. I ended up getting a champagne and ivory dress with tons of beads and a long train. I focused on one thing at a time and everything is coming together. If I had to do it all over I don't think I would change a thing! Well maybe I should wait until after the wedding to day that!

bluetank- Wedding planning is going ok for me-- I am dress hell right now. I am a chronic over analyzer and have been have freaky wedding dreams about my dress, or lack there of shall I say. After I am done with that- I will focus on BMs.. which I am very worried about.. two of them got in a big fight a while ago and are no longer friends-- I keep reassuring them that they'll never have to be alone together.
Other than that- nothing is how I though- except for the place.. and my centerpieces.. have changed my mind on everything, but then again, I have not been planning since puberty.. I am still in shock that I am getting married! It's surreal.

Ever since I was a little girl I had an image of what I would look like on my wedding day.....like a Princess! And I think I'm going to be close...every bride is a princess on her day though. I also always thought I'd be a May/June bride with a reception somewhere with a waterview. I NEVER thought in a million years I'd be getting married in October, let alone on Halloween!! But we're having so much fun with our fall theme I wouldn't change a thing.

I never 'fantazided (sp?) about weddings when I was a kid' I had a 'Vision' of what a wedding would be like, once my FH and I were serious, but all the detials are coming into place now. and i'm pretty flexible with everyting, so if i look at someting and say, 'oh i like how that looks' i try to do it!
