Did you know.........

that I had doves specially trained to put my veil on at the right time before the ceremony? They even helped my father lift the veil in the church. The doves were brought in from Argentina.

I had a wallsized enlargement made from my wedding pictures. I put it in the formal living room of my 5000 SQ foot house.

I got one of those, too. Only mine had to be bigger because I have a bigger wall.

oh yeah, well my dress was made from the most expensive silk imported from India and hand stiched with the best Alencon lace appliques from France...

Well, we couldn't have an ordinary limo or Rolls drive us from the ceremony to the reception, so years before he proposed, I urged DH to purchase a junky beat-up 1982 Volkswagon camper/van so we could pay a mechanic in Amityville several months' worth of mortgage payments to put in a new engine/transmission/clutch/stereo/speedometer/gear shift. Then once it was running, we slaved to re-touch the blue paint to be buff and shiney (to match the paint job on the trim of our church of course.) Let's not forget - I just had to have cold beer sitting on ice in the sink of the camper while we drove through downtown Sayville- you know it's what all '06 brides should have done.

Well, it's just not the same as mine. Mine was hand stitched by a blind woman with no hands. She works well with her feet.
