I finally found a dress that I like at Bridal Reflections.
I don't know if the ticket price is set in stone or not.
Should I even bother negotiating?

Yes I know you can get 10% off the price and I think they can even throw in a free bustle. They will work with you if you find the price cheaper somewhere else, just call. Most places would do this. I know from experience! Bridal reflections, commack wedding center and paradise bridal have all offered 10% off the price!

I got my dress at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and they offered to call the designer so I could get the trunk show price. As long as we promised purchase the dress, she would try to get the designer to agree. The designer said 'yes' and it saved us $700 (25% of the listed price). If they didnt do that for me, i would have to have gotten another dress or perhaps go elsewhere. It seems that the manager of the store had an excellent working relationship with the designer and made it happen. I do not know if they can do this with all dresses but you never know.

I've learned from wedding planning that it never hurts to try to negotiate.
If they don't come down on your actual price, they may throw in some bonuses, like lower your alteration cap or free bustling, or a discount on a veil. You can always call other stores to see if they carry your dress. I know BR in Massapequa works with some exclusive BR-only designers, but if someone else carries it and you are looking to save a little, its worth a shot.
Right before I ordered mine, i called a few places and although their prices were lower, their alterations were higher and they weren't as convenient to get to.

YEP!!! We had 2 places we looked at, the first one gave us a price, then we went to the second one and they beat the original price...and that was it. I would say go to another salon that carries the dress, find out how much the dress is-if its more than BR tell them BR price was X amount could they bring the price down...if they say no...then you know where you stand. It never hurts to ask! GOod Luck!

pull the budget card! thats what i did. i told them i had a certain budget and the dress was over. they too $100 off . btw-this was at burtons.

I just ordered my dress yesterday from Paradise bridal in Patchogue! I saw a dress that I wanted in Bridal Reflections that was $3400. I called Paradise to see if they had the dress and they didnt ,,, so they shipped it in from the designer for me to try on. Then I negotiated the dress down to $2800!!! And Kleinfelds wanted $3800!!! So definetly negotiate!!!!!! It works!!!!

YESSSS!!!!! You can always negotiate the price for EVERYTHING!!!! At least I did! What's the worst that can happen? They'll say no! Be sure you are firm with what you want when you negotiate!!!!

Definitely!
Call around to other places first to see if they have / can get the dress for a lower price first and then take that info back to the store.
Also, call Phyllis at www.gownfind.com and see if she can get the dress for less!

You can definately negoitate the price of your dress, I was able to get 15% off my dress.

YES!!! You should negotiate with Bridal Reflections - tell them you saw the dress elsewhere for a lower price but you would rather buy it at Bridal Reflections - they will work with you on price. They lowered the price on my dress at least $100 if not more....Also, I still found it less expensive elsewhere and ended up buying it there. I went back to Bridal Reflections for some accessories and they remembered me and asked what happened - I told them, and they said I should have called to discuss it with them. Anyway, they should be able to go down off of the ticket price. Good luck...
