before the wedding? Just wondering if I am supposed to give another third or pay the whole thing. I don't really want to pay the whole thing until i see the finished product. i don't see anything about it in the contract.

Our photog breaks down the payments on the contract. I would not give them all the money until you pick up your proofs/albums. After the wedding, our balance will be something like $500 or so.

we are paying in thirds- first on deposit, second 3 months from the wedding & third on the wedding day- I was not crazy about this, I really wanted to pay when I picked up my album

We gave 3 payments already.. the final one will be when we pick up the proofs. Same with videographer.. he wont get the balance until I pick up the video.

Ohh see I never thought of this, he requires full payment a week before and now i am thinking we shouldn't give the full payment till we get our proofs!

That's what I'm thinking. i just emailed him but I wanted to get an idea b/c or video was a third, third and third when we pick up.

we only owe $500 after the wedding - when we pick up our proofs - the rest has been paid off since july

no, we paid a small down payment to book them, and then 1/2 of remaining balance week before the wedding and have not paid remainder yet....our place told us that when we pick out our proofs for the album we owe another 1/2 of the remaining balance and then when we pick up our album and video the rest is due....so we have had kind of installmet payments i guess you could say

I'm guessing based on the responses each photographer works differently. We paid our deposit when we booked. We have to pay a decent amount one month prior to our wedding. One month after our wedding, we owe $500 but that's when we get our proofs!
