did you receive gifts from people who weren't invited?

This could probably apply for the shower, wedding, or any other party where gifts were received from people who weren't invited...

If so, how did you thank them?

I want to be careful not to step on any toes. A couple of people on my husband's side sent gifts, but weren't invited to the wedding. I have never met either of them. One moved to FL and NEVER returns to this area. The other lives pretty close by, but since I've never met her, we didn't invite her.

So, I'm going to start off with 'thank you for your generous wedding gift. It was so thoughtful and kind for you to remember us on our wedding day.'

But, I need more because I have A LOT of space on my thank you cards.

I'm afraid that it would be callous to mention that we had such a great day, since they weren't invited. I don't know...maybe just say the thank you part and mention the honeymoon

I did, from neighbors of DH's aunt and some other neighbors of his dad's.

I'm just writing what you said. I don't care that there is alot of space on the card. I don't even know these people. And they probably don't even expect a thank you so they're getting a nice surprise with the picture in the thank you.

I truly dont think you should stress over a thank you..Its the thought , not the exact wording that counts

I've been saying thank you for thinking of us on our wedding day and how it is a wonderful addition to our new home.
