Did you register for your e-party?

Did you register for your e-party?

Or will you?

We originally did not want to. Is it bad if we don't?

No you don't have to....typically, if you dont' register..people end up bringing envelopes which might be better so you can save it or put it towards the wedding.

My FSIL registered for her e party and got a lot of things I thought were more accetable for a bridal shower.

Not that it really matters, its up to you, IMO I probably would not and let people bring what they want to (and when you don't give them many choices it usually comes out to $$)

And now that I'm reading my post I sound totally superficial...but I'm not. I just think the money helps for wedding planning or saving for a house.. JMO HTH

That's what I thought- although I read somewhere that you really should not expect gifts at your e-party money would help being that we are paying for this ourselves.

Honestly, the biggest reason we are having one is bc we are have a destination wedding in Ireland and would love for everyone to come, but obviously this is not realistic, so we want to have a celebration here for those who cannot come to the wedding.

Absolutely agree, and it will be nice for people to be able to celebrate state side!

Thanks!!!

Russo's is beautiful too! We went to a wedding there and could not believe the service. Example:

My Fh asked for a red bull and vodka at the bar. They did not have that. So.... the manager came over to our table and actually asked FH if he wanted someone to go out and get some for him! We could not believe it! HE declined but the offer was very nice!! The food and the cocktail hour were out of this world!

I agree with Nina, I had my e-party last night and I didnt register before hand, and we got a few gifts such as frames, cake platters, candle holders, etc but mostly money which will help with our wedding sooo much

I registered for a few things at Fortuneoff and they were all purchased for the e-party. So we got about half $$ and half gifts. It was very exciting opening all the gifts.

I didn't mail the Fortuneoff register card with my invitations, but if someone asked at least I could tell them where to go.

I registered at Fortunoff for our engagement party. I included the registry info in the eparty invitations.
I am so glad we did.
Most people either gave $$ or something off the registry. Also people who couldn't come to the eparty also gave us gifts from the registry.
