I think this is a little much. The pictures are late...There are people starving for Pete's sake.....It just seems a little much to be going this crazy over late pictures. Pick your battles in life? Am I wrong? Cancer, death, lost jobs, starving children? Lets all watch 'Idol Gives Back' tonight...
umm.....soooo can i assume that means that you are getting married at city hall and not having a wedding at all so that you can donate everything to idol gives back and save the starving children and cure cancer??
she didn't make it sound like the world was comign to an end, she just was stating her frustration that its taken more than 4 months for her to get what she paid for. she signed a contract, a time frame was given, the day came & went, and months PAST the contract time went---complaining about it means that she isn't concerned with starving children?? wow---talk about apples and oranges.
so when you have your wedding at bourne mansion--can i assume you are gonna wrap up your leftovers and feed them to the poor.....or will you let them eat cake?
ETA: btw--the person you were saying is being a 'little much' --- yeah she's getting donations and walking in a charity for the American Liver Foundation Shorty's Charity Run

You know what...all she was doing was talking about her frustration over not having her proofs yet...She wasn't going 'crazy' as you put it...This is a WEDDING related forum...what do you honestly expect to read on here? If future and past brides can't come on here and vent their wedding related frustrations...then where can they?
And for your sake, I really and truly hope that whatever photographer who you pick or have already picked doesn't take as long with the memories of one of the most important days in your life as Shorty's is doing with hers...because if you come on here after your wedding is over and done and 4-5 months after you still don't have your pictures and you post on here venting about it...you'll get no sympathy from me

well in fairness---the thread that was brought over here wasn't from the 08 board---it was from the Newlywed board---so the OP of this thread brought the topic here. (nothing wrong with that at all---not flaming the OP at all).....it was a thread about a Newlywed and she didn't ask that her thread be brought to the 09 board to be examined. but hey, it happened.
so its only natural that the girl that is being talked about, ShortyMcBride would see this -- and then take a little bit of an offense to a bride making a comment about her not caring enough about the 'starving children' and such...hence telling us on the NW board about it--and the vice versa happen with us seeing this thread.

Yeah, there are starving people, sick people, etc. I am an attorney in family court and see it all.
Does this not give her a right to be really freaked and upset? No. Chill out. What do you think a WEDDING FORUM does?
If you think she is being this nuts, why don't you make sure all of your gifts are donated to all of these causes.
Bottom line-this is a long time to wait for proofs, people start thinking you are rude for not doing TYs, you can't do your albums and enlargements, and you generally freak (did you not see the whole Queens Bridal Center fiasco late last year when they went bankrupt and screwed a bunch of brides out of their proofs and albums)
If someone was devistated that their nail polish was slightly too dark, then perhaps I would see your point, But as a Rheumatoid Arthritis patient and a bride the same week as the bride you are bashing, I fully and completely give her the right to be nervous and freaked out. I don't respond to her on the NW board by telling her that she should be more concerned with the million people diagnosed with my chronic disease, but I tell her that I feel bad and give her advice to make her feel better.
I think you were very over critical here and hurt that bride's feelings a lot. Think of how you would feel if you were in that situation. Trust me, Idol gives back would not be first on your mind. You will understand when you are there too.
