I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but I want to show FH the two dresses that I just can't decide on. We've lived together for so long, I would never make a $1200 purchase without consulting him!! I know this is different, but I really kind of do want his opinion. Did any of you show FH the dress?!

I was dying to because well, that's just my nature, but we already had agreed on the traditional no seeing until day of. He would have refused to look even if I tried, lol.
As long as he doesn't mind seeing it in advance, go ahead! Even if you didn't I think he would trust you anyway on that big purchase. But the sky won't fall if you do haha

I sent a picture of my BM dresses to him and I was in my dress in the mirror. Oops!!!!
It wasn't a good picture so he couldn't really see it but since then I realized that I can't wait for his reaction when I'm coming down the aisle. Totally up to you though. You might be relieved knowing that he loves it!

I totally understand where u r coming from! fh abd I have diffierent taste sometimes. as much as I want a want to like the dress I want fh yo. like it too...bc if he tells me I look like I'm wearing a dollily or my grandma curtains I'll die!!!!
so.I showed fh dresses I like including the one I hope it's the one but I want him to be surprised to see me in it so I showed him pics of the dress online.

I really really wanted too. But my mom convinced me to keep it a secret. I just wanted to make sure he liked the one I picked!

I'm not superstitious so I have shown FH dresses I have tried on but I have not come close to finding the one. I think once I do I will keep it a secret. I say crop your head out & show him :)

I know EXACTLY how you are feeling. I REALLY REALLY want to show FH my dress but I don't know if he wants to see it. I value his opinion and he will always tell me exactly what he thinks.. he told me at my sweet 16 he thought my hair was ugly haha.. The dress I fell in love with is way over my original budget and I think if FH said he liked it I would feel better about buying it lol

FH will like anything you are in because You are in it and marrying him.
I am not showing FH the dress even though we will be together 5 years before the wedding day, all he got to see was the shoes. My girls would kill me if I showed him the dress. lol
I had shown him 4 I was unsure of before I found this one, but it is hanging at my parents house and even if he goes there, viewing it is Off Limits.
FH is part of the decision making for the wedding, because it is his wedding too. I think it's nice to give him something to be surprised about like I will be when I see him in his suit.
I have told him only a few things i would like with his suit when he finds one and we have similar tastes so it shouldn't be hard for him to find what will work with the girls dresses. It should be a light grey or silver suit set with a plum tie &/or handkerchief and the handkerchief should be pointed not straight in the pocket. If my grandfather's tie clip looks good with it he is willing to wear it because he knows how close I was with my grandfather, but if it looks like too much or just not right with the suit, I am fine with leaving it home. Other than that I will be surprised too.
Good luck with your decision, whichever way you decide it will be the right one for You and we are not ones to judge, only suggest and support.

Thanks girls! I know he'll love whatever I pick because I'm wearing it. But I want the omfg reaction. I'll hold off on showing him for now. I'm going back in a few weeks with my mom. I haven't made her really a part of planning yet, so I know she'll love it.

I had my hair trial today and was happily doing a few things around town with my updo and headpiece on lol and FH called his car wouldn't start so I had to go help him. I warned him that I had my hair done and he walked over to the car with a hat and made me put it on so he wouldn't see my hair.

i am definitely not showing FH my dress, no matter how excited i am! whenever were watching a wedding show im always like 'do you like that dress' and hes always saying 'i refuse to answer, what if thats your dress and i say no?' haha! so sometimes ill say, when a really bad dress is on tv, 'thats what my dress looks like...' and he refuses to have a reaction so he wont hurt my feelings (and then i tell him its not my dress anyway lol) i know that he will love my dress just because i feel beautiful in it and its the dress i will wear when i become his wife :)

I have the same feeling. I havent kept a secret from FH ever, let alone a $1000 secret. But that is exactly why I have resisted and will not be showing him at all! I want to see his reaction, which I honestly believe would be the same in whatever dress I chose, but it is the element of secrecy that will get the reaction!

He asked for details. So I told him it's strapless and explained what a sweet heart neckline is. I told him it had pewter and gold embroidery. That's it. Then he asks, 'does it have sleeves?' Hahaha. He's clueless!

I showed him my wedding dress pinterest board and had him pick the ones out that stood out the most to him. Mind you there are at least 25 dresses there lol so he still doesnt know which ones im leaning towards ;)

I am keeping it a suprise but I get what you mean about the living together part. I've been living with my FH for 2 and 1/2 years. I think it's nice to keep it a secret because when you live together there are so few surprises!

I wanted to but he didnt want to see it. He said he wants to be surprised. So just for fun everytime a wedding dress show is on I randomly say 'OMG THATS MY DRESS!' I think its funny - he doesnt. haha.
