Did you take engagement pics? And if so.....

I do mine Tuesday of next week. I am so undecided on what to wear! What did you wear?
I was thinking of a white sundress and my FH in khaki pants & a white shirt...Any ideas?

We didn't get too dressed up - it really depends on where you're having your pics taken and how formal you want them to be.

We took ours around Christmas time, and my FH wore a sweater vest and blazer - i wore a red turtleneck and gray pants.

A sundress would be perfect for summer pics!

Are you taking your photos in color or in B&W?


Im a big fan of contrasting but matching as you can see from my epics. I wore a black turtleneck with cream pants, he wore a cream sweater with black pants. We weren't too dressed up.

I feel slightly stupid for asking this, but...
What exactly are the engagement photos for? I was thinking of putting them in thank you cards from our EP. What else are they for? Just to have?

bluebaby dont feel stupid for asking. they are to have and also to get to know your photographer befoe the big day. I booked Patken and they suggested this and I think it's a great idea.
our photographer is steve and he suggested wearing similar colors and for the life of me i couldn't find a tan colored sundress, so white it is or if i become crazy at the last second, i will wear a black dress and put him in black & white or something.

I used my ephotos for my STD cards, my programs and our website.

Plus- how often will you get professional photos of the two of you? Might as well take advantage.

Are all of your photographers taking you 'on location' for your engagement pics? If I remember correctly, I think ours are in the studio...

I'm thinking of asking if we can go somewhere...sounds like it would be more romantic!
