By your dress I either mean your actual dress, or the sample dress

I woulda been too scared Id get makeup all over it, so Ill just wait until the day of and cross my fingers!

I didnt....did not even occur to me to do that. I personally don't want to see the whole 'look' until the big day.

No my salon was pretty far away from where I got my hair done.

i want to try it on after my hair trial to try on some veils - id be trying on the sample....but i want to get an idea of what veil id like while my hair is already styled

I don't get why people would want to do this anyway. I mean, it's a white or ivory-ish gown, just wear white to get a sense of how it looks. They usually have a veil and tiara to put on you....I want the whole look the day of...JMO

i will probably be trying it on because i am very indecisive and im trying my hair with my veils

i know for myself id especially like to go after a hair trial - just because i want to be sure that i like the hairstyle i chose - they say certain hairstyles compliment certain gown styles and that some hairstyles can be unflattering to a gown - for instance everyone says that i should wear my hair up with my dress but i disagree - after my hair trial i can try on my sample and see how i feel with my hair down - you never know, i might decide that everyone is right and i should wear it up instead - (my FSIL had a meltdown on her wedding day and hated her hair so it does happen!) i rather know that when i try on the sample then be upset on my wedding day - also im not sure of what veil i am going to purchase and id like to try them on when my hair is styled....i think there are plenty of reasons why people like to try on their samples or dress after a trial....some people even wear their DOJ to fittings to see how things match - i dont want any surprises my wedding day a lot of stylists and make up artists do suggest that you schedule trials around fittings as well so i guess its a popular thing to do

no.. I didnt because I didnt buy it from the original place that I tried it on!
