I kind of spoke to different travel agents to price our packages and get ideas but eventually we booked on our own.

We did! We felt safer booking with a travel agent since it is such a big trip!

since we were doing sandals, we did it on our own since there was no difference in price

We didn't because we booked through a timeshare for accomodations and flights aren't cheaper with travel agents

yea we feel if we go st lucia we've found places but we are leaning towards costa rica but with weather and stuff we think we can book ourselves but weren't sure.

We are going on a Disney Cruise, so we used the same people we have used in the past for our WDW trips.
My experience with my TA's is that they can find the best deal for you and they also will continue to search for better deals.

We did too.. I spoke to 5 travel agents via email.

then went with the most helpful one who got us the best deal.

I love my TA! She gets back to me so quickly!

FH and I both travel ALOT so we just went for it and I have to say we did a great job planning. I do have a friend who is a travel agent and she told me when to book my fligh for the best deals and she was actually wrong

We are doing it on our own!

The major pieces have been booked (the flights, ferry ride, some hotels) and it looks like we should finalize another 2 hotels this week.

To me, it is more enjoyable planning and researching- I feel more involved, and I tend to enjoy the trip more knowing that I put my time and effort into it

I went to a travel agent esp bc she is my best friends mom and gave us a great discount. We also went to her bc we are going to Europe and needed help since we have never been there before

working with them b/c we're trying to do 2 diff locs and i've only done 1 destination type trips on my own. i'm completely clueless when it comes to multiple locs

funny i was wondering the same thing! I never used a travel agent in the past...always did vacations on my own but thought maybe this would be the time to use one. I am doing all the research I can (figuring out where i want to go and getting an idea of pricing) than plan to meet with one and see what they recommend and compare prices etc.
In the end i would prob use them just to be safe

I did- but i priced it out first and made sure my TA beat that price. Its nice to blame any problems that may arise on someone else or any questions to have them quickly answered by them.

FM me if you want his info, he was great!
