did you use an agent to book your homeymoon?

did you use an agent to book your homeymoon?

We have a budget of about 6k and I'm not sure that we can get the kind of honeymoon that I would really want for that amount. I want a 10 day honeymoon with maybe spending half of that time in a private villa. I love the idea of a tahiti/ french poly honeymoon but I am open to other places. I was thinking that an agent would help us get a better deal? Any advice? TIA

We went to Liberty Travel and got a great deal to Hawaii for about $6600 which includes hotel, airfair, inter-island airfair and car. I first got a lot of prices from on-line travel agents b4 I went to Liberty then when I got the price I liked we went to Liberty and bargained with them for the price we liked... I don't mind on-line travel agents, but I really wanted to work with someone in person. Just got to do research first and you can get a great deal

We are staying at Green Cay Villas in St Martin for 1 week. Their prices seem very reasonable. They are just not all inclusive. Just a suggestion.

Hey,
We also used Liberty Travel, they came in w/ a better price than my TA that my whole family uses did.

We are doing Greece for 11 nights.
Athens, Santorini, & Mykonos. All for about $6500. That's for top of the line hotels, air, transportation, and buffet breakfast daily. We are staying at the Mykonos Grand, and Sun Rocks.

Contact Elani at the Massapequa Park office, if you are interested in Greece, bc she's greek and knows everything pretty well.

we're using leslie from travel solution, a vendor on the boards, and she's been wonderful. she offers disounts to liw ladies and you can contact her at [email protected] Let her know you're a LIW bride to be (or let her know Betsy referred you) and she can offer you advice over the phone/e-mail, send your pamplets, booklets on any place your interested in possibly travelling to. We're staying at the Sandals resort in the Bahamas in March and we're staying 6 nights, 7 days for undr $4k. She's been wonderful to work with and gets back to you within 24 hours. She's answered every question we've had and we had about a million of them and she responded to evey e-mail i sent her without hesitation. She is also going to work on getting us disounts or free upgrades as it gets closer to our date of departure.

Thanks for everyone's advice!

Does anyone else have any feedback about my question.. Has anyone booked a honeymoon similar to what I am looking for? I'm sort of leaning towards a tropical & lazy honeymoon. TIA

i actually went to a TA to get an initial sense of pricing... turns out we booked the same trip ourselves on travelocity.com and saved almost $2,000!!! you might want to look into that. . . .

my honeymoon budget is nowhere near yours, so i had to stick to the carribbean, so I can't help you there... but i would suggest going to an agent to get some ballpark figures good luck!
