Did you 'use' your wedding gown (I guess train) for your baby's christaning gown?
I was told a lot of people do this...just wondering what I'll do with my gown...or some other people have said that they make s little bedspread for their baby and pillows out of their gown.

I haven't done it yet, because we don't know the sex of the baby, but if it is a girl, I will be having her Christening gown made from the train on my wedding dress. Other than that, I don't ever use another use for my wedding dress, as much as I loved it.

I am using my grandmother's Christening gown for Molly but if I didn't have a family gown I would use my dress train.

My girlfriend's mom made her daughter's christening gown from the train of her dress. It was beautiful.

That's what I plan on doing after I get married !!! I am so excited about it because it can become a family heirloom.

I already gave it to my mom who loves to sew and I'm sure she is making something already for the baby or has plans for it when the baby arrives.

I know for sure I'm using my veil for a portion of the Christening gown. The veil is Chiffon so I think it would be pretty as well as meaningful. Since it was cathedral, I'll use 1/2 of it for the first girl in case I have another then I'll still have the 2nd 1/2
Just thinking about it makes me all teary-eyed and happy
