I hope so. If not make sure you do not post complaints about taxes, property costs, transportation issues etc..Today is your day to make your voice heard. And yes, one vote can make a difference- we all learned that lesson!

Re: Did you VOTE today?
Roger and I are going to vote today after work. We actually disagreed on a proposal for a bill today, until he convinced me otherwise.
When I asked my GF she said she will not vote b/c she does not know anything about anyone. Such a shame.

Re: Did you VOTE today?
They removed the Brookhaven property tax 2% proposal from the vote due some court confict.
Newsday actually prints up a Voter's Guide for each area. I take it with me so I can read a bit more about some of the lesser known catagories like judges. I also look to see who is in multiple party areas. Some republics are also listed under, for instance, Working Families. So I try to see who fits my opinions best.
VOTE!!! Many people around the World die for this...literally.

I didn't . I am still registered under my own address and haven't had time to switch it....I usually do. I did go right to the Board of Elections site and sent for an application to change my registration so I won't miss another...

She says she does not care. I care I vote every opportunity I get. I take it as privilege
I love the fact that NYS has a proposal for having non-partisan primaries...

I think if you go to your new voting place and prove you live in the area (utilty bill or something) then you can vote. I did that when I moved. I ALWAYS vote.
Just a suggestion.

Re: Did you VOTE today?
I went to vote but it wasn't there under my married name so I had to do an absentee They said August wasn't enough time to get me into there books but since I am registered under my other name my vote will be counted, but still the frustration.

I have been saying that for years - if you don't vote you lose your right to complain!
Unfortunately, by the time I get home from school tonight the polls will be closed and I never got around to filling out an absentee ballot so I can't this year.

I'm voting on my way home from the gym. I always vote. It's one of my rights as an American and I feel it's the best way to voice your feelings when it comes to politics.

Re: Did you VOTE today?
I voted bright and early this AM
I always find it a bit sad though that I'm usually one of the youngest voters there Where are all the other young voters?!
