I think it was justified in a way. I am sure the creators are p!ssed at the way things turned out with I.H. So, in those final scenes, they really stuck it to him --the best (and safest) way they could.

Re: did you watch South Park last night?
Justified - I agree. I liked the eulogy:
'A lot of us don't agree with the choices the Chef has made in the last few days. Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can't let the events of the past few weeks take away the memories of how Chef made us smile. … We shouldn't be mad at Chef for leaving us. We should be mad at that fruity little club for scrambling his brains.'

We taped it & then Dh watched it as I was getting ready for bed, so I just saw parts of it & as I was in & out of the room. I thought the eulogy at the end was done well.

Loved it. Sad about Chef though. Do you like the way they spliced his dialogue?

I totally expected them to do this though I had no idea that they'd go in the 'super adventure club' route.

They had limited time but SAC was kind of lame. I thought they'd pick an actual religion for this episode.

They only had 6 days to pull it together. They must work day and night on this and have a staff of thousands!
I didn't think they would pick a religion. They would have to deal with that after..

Yes, I agree. They are insane geniuses. I laughed my butt off-especially at the strip club!

I am always amazed at how quickly they get an episode put together.
I'm sad that Chef had to go, but I think the way they did it was great. The eulogy was perfect. I wonder if Issac Hayes will have a response. 'Fruity Little Club'

They totally did! that was the whole point! Thats what made it so funny - they were like - see- we still have you!
I was sad, and FH and I were like - oooh they really stuck it to Hayes - but why all of a sudden did he have issue with the religion jokes????

From thesuperificial.com:
'Fox News reported awhile ago that Isaac Hayes didn't quit South Park and never issued the press release saying he was offended by their Scientology episode, but rather left the show after suffering a stroke. Now Page Six is claiming the press release was actually put out by other Scientologists, saying:
That release was put out by fellow Scientologist Christina 'Kumi' Kimball, a fashion executive for designer Craig Taylor. According to foxnews.com, 'Hayes loves 'South Park' and needs it for income. He has a new wife and a baby on the way.'
Also on that page: Isaac Hayes was on the Opie & Anthony Show in December last year and openly said that he had no problem with the way Matt and Trey handled the Scientology episode.
The link to that is on the bottom of page 1 on thesuperficial.com.
Who knows what's right anymore.

Re: did you watch South Park last night?
Personally, I thought the episode was HILARIOUS and I think they did a good job handling it... even though no one will ever know what the 'truth' is... South Park will always be tasteless, crude, obnoxious and hilarious... why else would we love it?!?
