Dh doesnt want to- he think every crib looks the same.

Nope, we looked online together (www.storkland.net and babycenter.com) and decided on a wood and narrowed it down to about three different cribs...

The Emily
The Anastsia (SP?)
The Bonavita

and then I was given full authority to purchase.

Note: Dh was cursing himself when I purchased a massive amoire that barely fit in the nursery doorway and was a pain to move around the hallway... but alas.. he didn't go.. and I didn't think about it so IMO he couldn't complain about it's massive measurements and it does look awesome in the room now!

Well I picked out the crib on my own. He came with me when we picked out the rocker and changing table/dressers. He didnt have much of an opinion, he was just there to help load the stuff into the truck!

I made him come with me - he wanted to help make the baby, he was helping with all that kind of stuff too.

At first he wasn't into it, but I was surprised how serious he got when I started narrowing them down. He was shaking them in the store and making comments on how sturdy he thought they were - as if he knows what he's talking about.

Bear in mind I had to teach him the difference between a phillips head and flat head screwdriver when we bought the house last year. Before that they were flat and starry screwdrivers. Scary.....

I went to the furniture store first to look at what they had because they were having a big sale, and then after I found a few that I liked there, then my DH went and looked. He HATES shopping. I did the grunt work so he didn't have to shop around much.

same here dh cannot stand being in any store for longer than a few minutes- he would probably end up annoying me to death and I would end up buying something that i didnt want so i think im going to do the same thing you did.
