Did your FH / DH invite their father in law to their bachelor party?

My FH is just having a dinner thrown for him by his brother. Nothing wild. Is this appropriate? My FH is trying to do the right thing.

in that case, I would invite him and let him decide if he wants to go.

Al didn't invite my dad because it was a ski trip to Vancover.

My DH invited his dad but not mine

I don't think dads have to be invited but it could be a nice gesture. I think if you invite one dad, you should invite both dads!

FH doesn't really speak to his dad but I will be having my mom at my bachelorette party. I have a very cool mommy

My FH did not have my father or his. His was in Vegas though. but, he mentioned he wouldn't have had them even if it was local.

DH invited my dad and my brother to his. Neither went though because they didn't want DH to feel uncomfortable and what they were doing was not up either my dad's or brother's alley.

if it is just dinner, than I would say yes. My husband went to Canada for his, so only my brothers went...not my dad.

please be careful...luckily DH's bach party was in Arizona...so my dad didn't go...BUT for my BIL's bach party...they invited both dads to the dinner part...well my BILs dad went home...my dad DID NOT!!! when he heard that they were going to a strip club...he wanted to go (how mortifying!!) My dad was an alcoholic and still drinks when he thinks my mom doesn't know and was drinking that night as well...thankfully my DH was there...to pay off the bartender to water down drinks and finally to get my dad out of there...

when my dad didn't come home after dinner...my mom, sister and I sat there just horrified!!!

My father is invited but I just talked to my brother last night and he doesn't want him to go. So we are suppose to not mention it to my father anymore but I feel bad! Actually I just realized I forgot to tell FH about this. OOPs!

Why wouldn't they want the dads to go?

My dad is lots of fun. He went to my BIL's and the guys had a blast. My FH wants my dad there. They get along great... think it depends on the relationship and their personalities.
