Did your mother and FMIL

Did your mother and FMIL

Talk about thr gifts they were going to get you so that they didnt get the same ones??

FH told me last night that FMIL got me some stuff for my everydayware and she intends on giving them to me for Christmas. I also know that my mom got me some stuff for my everyday ware and she ALSO intends on giving it to me for Christmas. I feel like they should be on the same page with the gift giving. The reason I feel so strongly about this is because they both got me the same things for my birthday and I had to go exchange some stuff. Then my mom was upset that his mom got me the same stuff she got me, and his mom was upset that my mom got me the stuff that she got me. This $ucks!!! Anyone have any suggestions???

I'm confused. Did you register? Are they buying you stuff off of the registry? Because if so, they couldn't buy you the same thing without realizing the other had already purchased it...

They are buying that that is on the regisry, but they arent taking it off of the registry because they dont want me to know that they bought it.

thats doesnt make sense.......

you wont know WHO bought WHAT..you registered it because you WANT it..so obviously you'll get it everntually...
I'd tell them to check it off!

That's the point of registering- trying to aviod duplicates. Ask them to check off the gifts from the registry going forward so this doesn't happen. As for the gifts they already have, most stores are very good about you returning stuff when you're registered there.
