FMIL sent hers in, but some of my close friends and BP don't want to send them in b/c they keep saying 'you know i'm coming!' I don't care that I know. I put a stamp on it, write you name and put it in the mail!!!

Also, my mom and sister (who I live with) didn't even want me to send them an invitation. I felt bad, but they thought it was a waste! Oh well

It took FOREVER for FH's mom to mail in her RSVP card. On top of that she's bringing an imaginary date, we call him George Glass. I feel your pain, RSVP's were so friggin annoying

Re: Did your parents RSVP

My parents didnt send an invite to themselves since they are the RSVP address and FMIL wanted to keep her invite in tact as it came as a keepsake so basically I had to just check her off.

FPIL sent theirs in, technically my parents are hosting so they didn't get an invite

Re: Did your parents RSVP

mine sent it in. But both ahd other daughters get married as well within the past year or two so they knew better. LOL.

it is def annoying because Im sure some other brides also use them for organizing the seating chart. This is what DH and I did so for the one or two we hadn'[t gotten abck we actually had to take extras we had and fill them out. LOL.

I know, we had to send an invitation so they have to send it back! My parents sent back the RSVP. FMIL said she isn't sending it back becauase she wants to keep it. I told her she has to send it back because I'm keeping it and will give her a blank one without a stamped envelope for her to keep!

haha My dad didnt get one cause I know hes just going to throw it out, so I showed it to him and said 'You're coming right?'

FMIL did not send hers out yet and hopefully she will do it today. I made a joke with her yesterday that I put a stamp on it so just send it back even though I know you're coming. LOL

my dad sent his back the day he received it. however, ILs took forever too, then gave it to us to put in the mail for them, so we just brought it home and reused the stamp

Re: Did your parents RSVP

My mom and his mom were one of the first to RSVP, but my sister who is also the MOH waited until the RSVP day and that is only cause I had to keep asking her, otherwise I don't think she would have even sent it in.

No.

I knew they were coming!!! Relax - when you go through the guest list you'll obviously put them as a yes - it's not like you'll forget them! Same with siblings, BP, etc.

Re: Did your parents RSVP

none of our parents sent theirs - they are both divorced so they went to 4 seperate households. And out of the 4 of them they didnt send them! Our closest friends and family were the worst - 'well you know we are coming'

You have NO idea. Not only did FMIL want hers HAND DELIVERED, but she WON'T send her's back. She's keeping it together and untouched. I have other issues with her, but she is very selfish and doesn't care that I want them as a keepsake.
