Did your photographer....

Did your photographer....

have a package including an album and two parent albums for less than $3,000?

Did they take lots of photos - at least 450+?

Did they use digital format and give (let you buy) the data files?

Did they take all of your standard posed photos AND take lots of really great candid/photojournalistic photos?

Did they seem excited to be working with you and enjoy what they're doing?

If you answered yes to all (or most) of these questions, PLEASE let me know who your photographer was.

My search has been unsatisfactory thusfar!

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Did your photographer....

My photographer Chuck Marcy from Chuck Marcy Photography was wonderful to work with, had lots of packages in that price range (my was actually a little cheaper than that) and I love my pics. If you would like to see them, let me know.

My photographer was fantastic and I answered yes, to all of your questions. I used TimeXposures and couldn't be more thrilled. For a little over $3000 it included the video.

Not very popular on the boards here but I used Lady Kat-she was located in Freeport last time I looked. Very artsy and down to earth. She was a lot of fun to work with and gave us excellent advice, time and fabulous pics. At the time digital wasn't available from her but she does it now. Sorry I don't have any pics scanned to show you. I got two parent albums and one album for us along with at least 500 proofs and some enlargements. Please let me know if you need any more information.

I can say yes to all, but:

Did they take all of your standard posed photos AND take lots of really great candid/photojournalistic photos?

If you want photojournalistic photos, get a PHOTOJOURNALIST! A lot of places will say, yeah we do photojournalistic photos, and they 'think' they do, but in reality, if they are not a photojournalist, then they do not take them! There is a very real difference between a regular 'portrait' photographer and a photojournalist. If you want both types of photos and really GOOD one's...get two photographers!!

The company I used was ADA. I didn't ask for a photojournalist, but I wish I had, but I didn't have the money for it. I did get beautiful pictures though and exactly what I asked for.
