Aww..I know it can be really tough!! I did a raw food detox for 3 weeks. The beginning is the hardest..but believe me..overtime you begin seeing the weight shed off of you (literally almost everyday!!), your skin will get softer, and then it really becomes a part of your life. I literally started crying on the last night of the detox because I was sad it was over and because it became a part of my life. I know that in the beginning it is very difficult..especially when FH is eating tons of yummy food. My FH did the same thing!!! But just keep going and you will see that as the days pass by you will find it easier and easier and will have less cravings for cooked food.

Have you tried 'green smoothies' yet??? Basically you just blend up some fruits (any kind you want) along with uncooked spinach. It sounds weird and the drink is green but they are SO good!! I used to have them for dinner all the time. If you add a banana in the mix the drink is very creamy.

Are you planning on doing the raw food diet as a detox??? If yes, how long is the detox? Or are you trying to make it a way of life for you?

If you have any questions or want to talk about the raw food diet you can always FM me,

You know what's awesome on a raw diet? Smoothies. Blend up some young coconut milk with fruit...mango and pineapple, or a banana and berries...throw some raw almonds in there (or grind those first)...some ice. Mmm. So good.

haha, you are actually the reason i am doing this. i saw your post a while back and decided to try it out for like a week or two. so i guess i am 'detoxing'. it is only day two and i am seriously salivating at the thought of meat..lol. was 100% of your food raw or did you cheat a little? i give you a lot of credit for doing it for 3 weeks. i have no idea how i am even going to make 3 days. ugh.. i think i need to try this smoothie thing because just eating basic fruit and veggies is not making me feel full! any other suggestions you have please send my way!

haha..that's so funny that you saw my post about the raw food diet!

For me, 100% of my food was raw. Mostly just fruits and veggies, but FH and I went two times to the restaurant I posted the link for. So at the restaurant I had other raw things..such as nuts and whatever else they consider raw that I wasn't savvy enough to make myself.

For me the hardest part was the beginning because I was addicted to caffeine and I was going through withdrawl from that. So I had headaches and felt nauseous a lot. What I would eat with almost every meal that would help to fill me up was bananas. In the beginning I just ate tons of fruits because I felt the same way..it was difficult for me to feel full. But then as the days went by I actually didn't require as much food and would get filled up from the 3 meals per day. But def try to have lots of bananas because they really help fill you up!

Just be reassured that as time goes by you are going to find it easier. Overtime I was really excited to go food shopping to get more fruits and veggies and I really got into it. After maybe the first week I started to feel really refreshed and healthy and losing weight really kept me motivated.

Good luck!!!
