FH got a total knee reconstruction about 6 months ago and gained a lot of weight from being sedentary and not playing sports for so long. He is still not allowed to play sports yet, but we have a bunch of weddings coming up this summer and he really wants to lose some weight. He goes to the gym, but he can only lift weights since he still isn't able to run or do much cardio on his knee. Have any of your FH ever been on a diet plan? If so which one was it and did it work? I know a lot of diets out there are tailored more towards women, but I hope there is something out there that he might be able to try too. Any suggestions?

Re: Diet for FH?
I'm sorry, I'm not much help but I have heard of men doing the LA weight loss thing. I'm not sure how succesful it was though. Sorry!

Re: Diet for FH?
My fiance was inspired when I hit the 25 lb loss target I originally set for myself and he just started curbing his carbs and junk food...he's lost approx 12 pounds...meanwhile, i sweat like a monkey in the gym and watch my food like a hawk (except sundays lol) and he loses by cutting out italian bread!!!

Re: Diet for FH?
weight watchers is great for men and woman...and if you check your local schedule, they have all men meetings if he wouldn't feel comfortable going with woman
