Limit your portions and work out!!! Try to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day..three times a week. Excercise gets everything going!
I also did a cleanse to start me off... www.drnatura.com I lost six pounds right away

I would try WW, Atkins is not the healthiest diet !!

I think it's 70 bucks a month. You drink tea at night and a few capsules upon waking...and then 15 minutes later a fiber drink. It's all natural...losing weight is a nice bonus but it's really to clean all the **** out of you!!

Don't do Atkins, 6 months is a long time not to eat carbs, especially with a wedding and a wee one!! I would do WW, it teaches you to eat small meals. And take that little boy for a walk, got cablevision? use on demands mag rack for free workout videos. Do pilates too, it will help tone those tummy muscles stretched out by the pregnancy. You can do it girl, you just have to try. Also with WW you can cook the same stuff for you FH and DS, just control your portions. If you do WW go to the meetings. If you have to bring your son, they usuaully have a wee ones welcome meeting.

This is it, you have six months, jump on that horse and risd girl, ride!!!

I totally agree. It is also important to remember that Dr. Atkin is no longer with us due to heart problems (too much meat and fat maybe)

I did the same, I had a colonic.... Its such a great way to start off your a diet, plus it does not hurt to get the toxins out. Also Doing cardio helps, I go swimming three times a week and I run alot as well. Lifting weights will help also, will not necessarily bulk you up. You don't have too do as much as I do. I use this to combat stress but it helps to drop the lbs. As far as calories I just watch what I eat. Be careful with the sugar and transfat. Also sometimes when you have fat free it can have a good amount of sugar used to substitute for the bad taste. And most of all don't starve yourself, that will cause you to retain weight, eat Breakfast at least 30 minutes from the time you wake up, it gives your metabolism a boost. I also try to take in natural sugars from fruit and drink lots of water. I also try not to eat after 7pm. sleep is esential and I repair my body with proteins after working out (ie chicken breast). And lastly I eat wheat bread and granola to give myself a daily cleaning. (moving your bowels twice a day is so healthy and good for your metabolism) I am not an expert but this is what I have learned over the years. HTH
