How many of you have, or will let your BM's wear different style dresses, as long as they are in the same color? I just want everyone to be comfortable? What do you all think, will it look ok in pictures? If any one has already done this please post pics. TIA!!!

That's what i'm planning on doing, i think as long as the color is the same, they can pick what specific dress they like. I figure not all styles look good on everyone and not everyone will be comfortable in the same style (i.e. a girl with a bigger chest prob won't want to wear a strapless dress, but the others might like it). I've seen pics done either way, and i've personally never thought it looks bad.
If it's easier or you want to make sure the diff styles would look good together, maybe you could go out looking at dresses with your MOH and have her help you pick out a few that you like, and let the BM's choose between those.

I am torn between doing this and just going with separates (all of the girls select the same bottom, everyone picks whatever top they like). My one fear is that I read in a magazine that if you go with different styles, the designer won't guarantee the dresses will be from the same dye lot.
Has anyone else heard of this before?

my girls are doing that..the same color but different styles....everyone figure is not the same...I like this way personally better

I'm doing it. My only requests were black, chiffon, knee length. They all have different dresses and they will all be comfortable, and I'm sure get more use out of the dress than a regular BM dress.

I picked 3 dresses and the BM could pick whichever one they wanted. I wouldn't worry about different dye lots. The difference is so minimal no one will notice and because the dresses have different lines to it they will reflect light differently so even if it is the same dye lot it might look slightly different because of shadows and stuff.
