I have a picture ( not scanned) that was from a non-wedding magazinr, that was just for a fall table & it is a woodenbox with various rustic lookingflowers in it. I kind of likr that idea, but I don't know exactly what I am doing yet.

Re: Different centerpieces?
I'd like a tall centerpiece, I just want something different though.

Yes, I loved it! And that is what prompted me to ask you guys, because I had never seen anything like that one before.

Re: Different centerpieces?
This is a long shot but have you considered balloons? I know, I know.... this is your wedding not your sweet 16. But Im considering having a large clear balloon filled with small silver balloons and having them weighted down with a small bowl of white roses. This will give you an idea of what im talking about. I dont like the big balloon inside, though. I would want small pearlized ones.

Cute, very interesting! I do like balloons but, I don't think I am going that route.

Re: Different centerpieces?
Divabride, if you are really considering balloons I saw something really amazing at a friends wedding in Florida that's similar to your idea. They had big clear balloons filled with little heart ones, and at the end of the evening when B&G had last dance those big ballons exploded and little ones started flying up. I'll e-mail them for a picture and post if I'll get it. It's was outside though. Not sure how expensive because the wedding was pretty extravagant.
Edited since I forgot to mention that they were not centerpieces but huge baloons sitting on the ground around the dance floor, so when small one's went up they were comming up from the floor all around the couple.

Re: Different centerpieces?
Here is an example of mine...Tall glass vase, white birch, orchids and casio daisies. I was going for the non typical flower thing too but decided on just a little bit
I dont have a pic, but I am getting wrought iron trees that have candle votives hanging from the branches (john at flower michelle has them) he is putting some flowers around the base, and then some up at the top where the branches begiin. it is really unique and they are tall. but the feather centerpieces are absolutely out of this world too. good luck
