The reason I'm asking - Last year when my Golden was diagnost with Lymphoma my Vet ordered lots of tests, visits, tratments, etc. I decided to get a second opinion since this illness was big. The second opinion Vet ran all the same tests, visits, etc. and charged alot , alot more. I liked the second opinion pactice, but they seemed over priced - in it to make money.

I have had a few vets, and I do find that there can be BIG differences in the charges. I think it is most likely based on the overhead of running the practice. While I love the first very & his new, clean, state-of-the-art facility, he is just way too expensive.
