Different MOH dresses....

Different MOH dresses....

Just wanted to let you all know... I orginally wanted something different for my MOH, something printed that went with my fall theme...but we figured since this is all last minute, we might not have time....WELL....

If you are looking for something different for MOH, check out Sugarplums in Lynbrook! They have a rack of 50% off dresses and a lot of them are perfect for this occasion and easy to match with any theme...I found a Brown layered dress with leafy things (I know sounds funny, but so pretty) originally $600, after markdown and additonal 50% I paid $200 for it!!

I couldn't let it sit there so I bought it without her seeing it or trying it....keep your fingers crossed it fits!!

Just wanted to let you all know....

Sugarplum is on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. I think it is about 3/4 of a mile beyond the crossover of Sunrise Highway and Merrick road.

Re: Different MOH dresses....

My mom got her dress there for our wedding. It's GORGEOUS, but my mom would never recommend them. However, if you can put up with their attitudes and are really looking for something different, it's worth a try.

My mom said if she hadn't fallen in love with the dress she tried on (and couldn't find it elsewhere), she never would have purchased anything there. They are never nice and usually downright rude -- not how you treat someone who spent $700 on a dress.

Honestly, they tell you they're the exclusive carriers of these dresses, but really they just remove the labels and mark up the price. I've seen many of their dresses elsewhere for less - a lot less. My mom, of course, fell in love with the one dress we couldn't find anywhere else - and they wouldn't tell us the maker.

Their selection is hit or miss. The time I went with my mom, she tried on about 10 dresses. The one she ultimately bought was the only one we liked even a little bit. She said she went back another time and tried on 10 dresses she loved. (I guess that's the way it is with any store!)

I have to agree with you...wasn't a fan of the ladies there, but the sale rack was awesome!! I wouldn't have been able to deal with them either otherwise...but the lady who was helping me did try on the dress for me so that I could get an idea since MOH wasn't there!

We were originally there for my mother and she found nothing...they brought her horrible things to try on!

I wouldn't go there on purpose if it wasn' t for that sale rack! I'm sure these dresses could be found somewhere else, but the prices were awesome on sale and worth the annoying rude ladies! LOL!
