Digging

Both my dogs do this and it is driving Dh and I crazy!!!

How do you make them stop? The rottie just digs up a little dirt and then lays in it. But my sheperd mix must want to go to China!!!

Re: Digging

Oh Kriss.....we are so in sync here...Casey will NOT stop digging...we have a huge yard and holes everywhere. The funny thing is, when we went to my FIL's house, for some reason, his grass was (already) fully grown in for the spring - and she didn't even touch the yard there . Our yard right now is patches of grass and dirt. So I am hoping once the grass fully grows in the wont have the urge. I don't know what to do either. I can't stand out there and watch her the whole time she is in the yard...

Someone help us!

My yard looks like it's a mine field. A lot of their efforts seem to be close to the fence line - so we have to keep back filling to make sure they don't get out.

My Rotty does the very same thing! My backyard is dug up all over the place too! The worst part is there are 2 little dogs that live behind me and my Tonka digs by their fence to get to them and they fit under it so sometimes I look out side and see extra dogs in my backyard!!

awww... that's cute, as long as it's more of a friendly thing than a hungry thing.

I dont know if this works but I know people who bought a baby pool and filled it with the sand you use for children's sandboxes and train them to dig in there.
