My future in-laws are buying us a really good digital camera. I do not know what to tell them to buy. They want me to give them a model # and tell them where to get it. Can someone tell me a great one to buy and what to stay away from? What options should I be looking for?

I just replied via e-mail but I will post here too - Phil has been looking at the Cannon Powershot or Sony Cybershot -3.2 megapixels- for Christmas - he researches these things and says these 2 are the best for the money- I hope that helps! We took his parents' Sony Cybershot on the honeymoon and our photos were fabulous!

I have a Canon powershot and its great...I especially love how small it is!!! fits in a small purse if we go out...
for regular use...you don't need more than 3.2 megapixils...

i have the 5 mp sony cybershot .. dh is really into technology so he wanted that. i'm getting my parenst one and im leaning towards the sony cybershot 3mp one .. i love the camera and it takes great pictures.

FH just bought me a Kodak 6490 for Xmas (but we're gonna cheat and bring it to WDW this week). Had a Canon A300 or A330 (can't remember) that I hated but FH lost it on a golf trip anyway!

So FH has gotten home after buying camera and arguning with an Olympus rep at best Buy ... he's been researching on the web and now wants to return what he bought & get an Olympus!!! He drives me nutz with stuff he feels he has to reseach to death!!! LOONEY!!
