Digital cameras

Does anyone know much about digital cameras? I mean a prof style digital SLR camera. This is what I am thinking about getting FH for his wedding gift, but if I am going to spend the money on one I want to make sure it's good!

i just bought a Canon T1i ... it came to about $700 with the lens ... i really love it.

they also sell the T2i (which is newer) but it'll just be more expensive and it's really not THAT much better than the t1i.

i hope that helps.

I have the Canon SRL Rebel (i think) I love it. It is only about $400 now with the Lense but it really is a brilliant Camera.

if you're going to go with Nikon. Its best to do d90 or above. A lot of the lenses for Nikon cameras are AF. Anything below the D90 need AF-S lenses or it wont auto focus. Unless of course auto focus doesnt matter.

Canons are all really great. Depends on what you're looking to shoot. If you have any questions feel free to FM me. I'm a bit of a camera nut lol
