Digital Cameras--looking to buy one
Re: Digital Cameras--looking to buy one
Honestly, I have an Olympus D360? or 370?can't remember, I bought it a couple years ago.. I LOVE it.. my only beef with it is that it's a little on teh big side.. I am really into the dig cam and bring it with me everywhere.. I am looking into purchasing a new one myself..I am either going to get the canon elph or the new olympus.. the new sony looks hot too.. you want something compact.. in order to buy one that will best accommodate you, you need to first ask yourself what you'll be primarily be using it for.. whether if it's only for emailing and using pics for teh web, or If you want to be able to print them out in sizes of 5 x7 or larger..

I have a Sony P-3 and really like it. (It was on the higher side - $500-600 when it was purchased.) It is so tiny and easy to take around. It takes great pictures too. I am still learning how to use all the features. It is over a year old now but I think Sony makes similar models. I always read Sony and Olympus are the best made, technically - from reading is PC journals/mags. (I am a techie so had to throw in the technical perspective.)

We are looking to use it primarily for downloading to a pc and printing. The best of both world's I guess. I want something small too. As light as possible. There is a really good Sony model I read about but its pricey and out of my range right now.

If you want to print out pics up to 8 x 10, I suggest no less than 3 megapixels.. def check out the canon elph. I LOVE that camera.. That's the one I want!
