Digital photography

Just curious, but is all wedding photography pretty much digital nowadays? I figured it would be the norm and I like the idea of getting a cd with the proofs, but from my own experiences with photography, I find that film photography comes out crisper and that way you get the negatives. It could just be that the printing I've used for digital isn't the greatest, but I am definitely partial to film. Am I totally outdated? Any experiences with either?
Thanks!

Re: Digital photography

I have a photographer that uses both- . Jozieb0925 used the photographer that I am using and her pics were digital- and they came out very crisp and beautiful- Check it out under Bride's Review.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference... if you like film, you can ask your photographer to scan the pictures to a cd. I had that done with my e-pics and it came out great.

The photographers that I asked about the differences between film and digital said that they scan the pictures anyway, which then come out worse digitally then they would have. I think that in terms of photography digital is the sharpest image you can get..?

If I were you I would opt for both.

I was thinking the same thing as you. Last night we went to a photographer whose photos were beautiful and he ONLY uses film. But he's the only one I've come across so far. He gave us his reasons for using film v. digital and they make sense to me, but what the hell do I know? I do have to say though, as far as 'crispness' is concerned, I do think that old-fashioned film does a nicer job than digital, but that's JMO.
