so my original MOH was my bff. or so i thought. since I asked her she was very withdrawn and very non social at our eparty and did not appear happy for us at all. She got engaged in June and since then whenever we talked it was all about her wedding and her blah blah. you get the picture. So she sent me an email in July that hse can't afford to be in my wedding adn would like to withdraw. Ok fine, wrote her back i understand, was hurt but got over it. So after not hearing from her ALL summer!!! I finally sent her an email in Oct after seeig that she posted all over FB she went to Europe with her FH (being that she has no money, but between teh 2 of them they make over 200g a year) since she does not pick up her phoen either or texts. So we had it out over email and I thougt that was it its done. Took her off the invite list the wedding and was ready to cut my losses when tehy are due. thing is, I got an invite to her shower on Friday. It's the same day as FH's best friend and best man's baby shower which I already RSVP'd to, plus I have class and have to leave that shower early. So obv. I can't go to my ex bff's shower. WWYD? I still want to send a gift b/c it's the right thing to do. So obv we are now invited to the wedding. It's in May....would you go????????? FH has been telling me all weekedn he doesn't want to go but if i want to he will. Thing is i feel weird going now. HELP!

Re: dilema--need advise
whwn you say 'you had it out' what do you mean? i would base it on that, did she ever apologize? does the person throwing her shower know about your falling out? i would feel awkward, what if they are 'assuming' she wants you there.

no she never apologized. i''m assuming the person throwing it knows about are falling out as it's her mom and they are super close. Also-she would have had to give her motehr my address as her mother only knows my parents address and the invite was mailed to my apt-so she had to give them an invite list-otherwise her mother would not know my address

Re: dilema--need advise
If she gave her mom the invite list I might send a little something from the registry and when the invite comes for the wedding and you don't want to go send your response back right away. This way she may think you have previous arrangements

wow I don't know....I mean, you have plans already on the day of the shower so that makes the RSVP easy... but it is a really weird situation. Might it be worth it to send her an email and say that you have a baby shower you already rsvp-ed yes to, and that you were a little surprised to get the shower invite, and see what she says?
