We decided to do postcard Thank You cards. My husband was in charge of getting the stamps, which he did. But the only stamps they had for postcards was the Florida Panther stamp below. Now, I have no idea if I am being insane or not, but I totally think it cheapens the card and looks ridiculous. Should I eat the $26 and buy a new book of stamps for $41 or suck it up and send them as is...Florida Panther and all?
UPDATE: I got new stamps! I just couldn't do the panther, it looked so stupid...especially since it is a postcard and you keep it along with the stamp. They wouldn't let me return the Panther stamp though, but if I use 2 at a time I can put them on any letter. Thanks for the advice...I guess even though the wedding is over, I am still the same old anal bride I once was!

For me personally I would change the stamp...but I am super anal about things like this so I am sure everyone else would not even consider it out of place or whatever.

Uh Oh!!! I just set the poll at 50/50. I voted for new stamps but just b/c it's not like you have to throw the other ones out.

You can probably bring them to the post office and exchange them if you don't want them. I don't think you need to throw them out.

I'm trying to be conservative with my spending so I would probably just use these, no one would notice, but if really feel it cheapens it then it sounds like you have your answer. Its worth paying the extra money to get a good nights sleep.

use the old ones, seriously NO ONES looks at the stamp, they want to see whats inside. NO on will care about what stamp you have. I did my stamping for my STD's on a postage stamp machine in red ink, WHO CARES!!!!

one of my best friends sent a wedding invite with one of those photo stamps on it of her and her FH, and i didn't even notice; the envelope went right in the garbage.

actually, you can bring them back to the post office and exchange them as long as you didnt use any from the book yet

I woudl buy a new book of stamps. some people might not notice it, but if it bothers you, just change it.
Someone posted that you can return/exchange it, so it doesn't hurt to try that.

I would leave the stamp. I really don't think anyone looks at them. However my fiance here says he would change them. Not sure.

We were just doing our invites today. FH was in charge of picking out the stamps. He went to the post office web site and they really don't have much of a selection. What are these stamp designers doing? No love for the brides out here?

I would say get new stamps. I think the suggestion to exchange them at the post office is GREAT! But if you did already use some, just use the panther ones for everyday needs and get some new ones for the TYs.
