Dilemma at work regarding Bach Party and wacky wild child coworker.. thoughts? (lengthy but not too long)

I’m not too sure how I feel about this yet.
Here’s the background:
One of my coworkers here is new. She’s been here since around October. She’s really bubbly happy. You know the kind who says really silly things you’d NEVER say but is so oblivious to it that it’s kinda sweet? She’s from Norway. Been in America about a year. Hasn’t really gotten American Business Etiquette down yet. For example: Today she went to Gyno. Ok, like I really wanted to know? But she screams it out to me as she passes an aisle away “Hey, Veronica. Im going to the Gynecologist now, Ok?” Uhmmmmmmm “have fun”. Then she comes back and screams over the cubby walls “Hey Veronica, Want to try this new patch?” What patch I wonder…”You know its my Birth Control Patch, want to try it?” I’m thinking MY GOD!! And hop up so she won’t continue to scream out. She really is nice but is kinda wacky. You know she’s the type who blares out things that are TOTALLY inappropriate for a business place. “I don’t make as much as the College Grad folks do even though I have my degree and they make $$$$” Hrm, well I guess that means she just told me how much she makes. BIG NO NO In our office. Later at lunch with a vendor (Insurance Underwriter) She says… “I like my boyfriend, it’s why I took this job, I hope to be married in about a year and move out of New York” Uhmmm we just hired you and you’re admitting to wanting to leave in 2 years? And my all time favorite was when she asked my other coworker who came with us to that lunch “So how many times does your girlfriend sleep with you?” What she meant was how often does the girlfriend visit.. but still!!!!

So here’s the problem:
She knows I’m getting married. She wants to throw me a bachelorette party. She’s a real party animal. Drinking a lot and always saying she wants to go bar hopping. She really is a lot of fun but in that way you have people that are fun from a distance. So now she’s all set to throw me my Bach party. Asking me when we should and such. I just don’t know if I feel comfortable with that. I know it will be fun, but my MOH may feel offended.

Any thoughts?

Is there anyway you can make it a Bach party just with your work friends and then do have another one with your friends and family? Otherwise maybe you can have her co-plan it with your MOH, but pre-warn your MOH what she's like so she's not in for any surprises. Good luck!

Guess so.

i guess im just more afraid of hanging out with this wild child for my bach party. I really didnt want one to begin with. She's sorta pushing this on me.

You never know, it might be fun!
I say do 2 bach. parties, one for work and let your MOH plan the other one.

I think you're better off having two - if that's what you want to do - but I prob would not invite her to plan it with your MOH (JMO) - my MOH would prob be like 'who the hell is this'??

why don't you tell her it's already being planned by your bridal party, but you are so flattered she offered, and how you'd love for her to come along -- that is, if you want her to.
