You can reply nicely and say, 'is there any way someone can watch him while we're doing the actual 'rehearsal' portion? I just didn't want people to be distracted and not know what to do the next day...'

Re: dilemma - WWYD - sorry long
Honestly????? The rehearsal is a joke. No one remembers what to do the day of anyway. I paid complete attention at my rehearsal and the day of I just followed whatever the priest told me. My father forgot how to hand me over, BIL forgot to give the priest the rings, it made for a rather humorous ceremony, lol.
I'd avoid the conflict and just let her bring him, but with the condition that someone can bring him outside if he starts to get ancy or cry.

I'm just so annoyed because it's always me adapting to what they want rather than the other way around... usually I just deal with it because it's not worth the fight but this is MY wedding why can't they ever do what I want
i hear you 100000% but you dont want it to blow up into something more than it needs to be .....you have too many other things to worry about and focus on with your wedding coming up in just a few weeks
My rehearsal was a CATASTROPHE!!!! I dont even know where to start in explaining how bad it was but my wedding ceremony was perfect everyone managed to figure out what they needed to do and the priest (who wasnt even present at the rehearsal) controlled the whole thing and directed everyone on what to do when they needed a little cueing

Re: dilemma - WWYD - sorry long
Let her bring him..He is an infant. It will make her happy and be able to know he is ok. When kids are that young it is nice for moms to have them with them... It will still be about you and your husband..Sure, he may get 'he's cute ' etc...but the adults know why they are there.. Why annoy your sil so close. He will probably sleep threw it anyway. It will not be costing you anything for the dinner either so it shouldn't matter. Adults are sometimes hardere to deal with than the kids. You would only end up looking bad to family by insisting she keep her baby home... I get your feelings, but for one day it isn't worth the hard feelings it will cause.
