Dillema of the day

Dillema of the day

I found these favors and showed them to FH. But now he is telling me he only remembers me showing him the bags of coffee, I know I showed him both but we were on different sides of the U.S. so that is hard to prove that I did show him.
Now my dillema is: he says I am only allowed to order the bags and not the scoops, I can order both with my credit card without him finding out but I don't know if I should go against him. There is no changing his mind at this point but if I order and then they come in and I wrap them and he doesn't see then he can't say anything How should I handle this

They only thing I can faintly suggest is to order them, but that the price comes out of your own pocket and not the wedding budget. Good luck!!

Is he concerned about money? Try to convince him again and tell him that you love them so much and can't stop thinking about them. And you only have 1 wedding!

Those are really adorable! I said to order them both. In the meantime, work on him so that he understands its a matched set or something.

I think he is concerned about money, he just finished telling me we are spending too much on this wedding as it is.
I found them for $4.00 wrapped and tied. I know if I don't do something cute with them both I will have to see the rolling eyes of FMIL just like when I was stuffing the envelopes, but that is a totally different subject

Wrapwith us has good prices . . .but are u sure u want to start the little white lies to the FH? I would think that honesty is the best policy . . .

I say tell FH that you found them cheaper and the whole point of giving the coffee was to give both. I say keep convincing him this is what you really want. I wouldn't go against him though.

I would not do that if I was you. You might piss him off. You don't want to start the marriage off on the wrong foot.

i think if you try to find them cheaper and explain to him why it is important to you to get them he might change his mind..especially if you show him that you're trying to save money..i wouldn't just order them though..they aren't as stupid as we think they sometimes are and then it only gets you in trouble..

If talking to him doesn't work for you, then lie. I might be in the minority here, but I don't think this is a major lie. You want something, so get it. Tell him that your mother bought them for you guys to give away because she loved them, or something like that.
One thing I have learned throughout this process is that this whole ordeal is ridiculously expensive and a lot of us are constantly trying to find a bargain or cut corners or whatever. It really takes a toll on my brain and sometimes I just want what I want-no questions asked. My FH is similar in that he thinks this money should be put into a house no into centerpieces. I agree with him, but I also want the day to be great and I want people to walk away smiling. So do the men, but they aren't detail-oriented, at least not mine
DO what is going to satisfy you without hurting anyone in the process and you'll be fine.

I can't believe I am encouraging you to lie

Maybe if you give it time before you bring up the topic again you'll have more luck, but if not.....white lie, baby.

I would just get them if you want them. Pay for it yourself. Thats what I would do because when it is all said and done he will like whatever you pick out.
