Have you ever done one before?? I was thinking about doing this for my BP...especially considering the fact that most of them have never been to NY before.
Good idea? Bad Idea?? Expensive idea?? Thoughts??

Re: Dinner Cruises Around NY/LI?
Sounds like a nice idea. There are dinner cruises that leave out of the Nautical Mile in Freeport. They go to the city and I believe there is dinner and dancing.

Re: Dinner Cruises Around NY/LI?
I have done Spirit Cruises that leaves near Chelsea Piers. Its casual versus another cruise I plan on giving my parents as a gift which is a night dinner cruise and more fancier. Spirit has a fun atmosphere to it.

I take the ferry from Hoboken to NYC to get to work and I know they have sightseeing also (but I'm not sure about dinner.) NY Crusies

I used to work on the Nuatical Princess out of Freeport. If it is still in the same slot, it is docked in the first slip when you turn onto the Natical Mile..a big white yaht. It is definatley a fun time if you have never done it before. The food is decent and you go all around the bay...down to Long Beach and back. There is a very fun DJ and bars on each level of the boat. If I remember, everything is included for one price. And you get hor d'ourves, drinks, dinner and dessert. The top open deck is really fun to dance, drink and just hang out. I think they also have a couple more boats down there now. Check it out...I think it would be fun for you and your BP!

I have been on the Liberty Cruise and also the Bodeuex (sp?) out of Chelsea Pier. The Liberty Cruise is more casual than the Bodeuex.

Took my parents on the World Yacht around NYC a few years ago. It was pricey but they really enjoyed it.

Re: Dinner Cruises Around NY/LI?
I've been on the Spirit Cruise around NYC before, and I believe it was about $70 a person, though I'm not positive. It was fun, and I think people from out of town would really enjoy it because you get to see the NYC skyline. How large is your bridal party? Maybe you could get a group rate. Here's a link to the Spirit of NY webpage. Edited to add, I think they also do lunch cruises for about $50pp.

Re: Dinner Cruises Around NY/LI?
FH and I went on a World Yacht dinner cruise last summer for my birthday. I loved it! It was so great, romantic and the food was outrageous. It was very expensive though. We had a bottle of wine with dinner so that brought up the price but I think it was around $180 for the two of us. That's including the tips and stuff.
