We are having a dinner for our out-of-town guests the night before the wedding. My parents and FILs are thinking of having it at one of the local hotels (maybe the Courtyard Marriot). I had not heard of anyone who has done this. Has anyone had a dinner for their out-of-town guests or even a rehersal dinner at the hotel their guests were staying?
Thanks!!

Re: Dinner for Out-of-town guests
I am doing this - but i am thinking of doing something really casual like a pizza party or Jillians. This is only for OOT guests and the bridal party. The RD will be on Th and the OOT dinner on Friday

Re: Dinner for Out-of-town guests
Our 'rehearsal dinner' wasn't really ... it was immediate family & OOT guests.
ETA: It was the night before but not where the guests were staying.

thats a nice gesture to have a dinner for the OOT guests... I think no matter where you have it they will appreciate it...

Thanks for your posts. I guess I was just also curious if anyone had a party like this at a hotel too.

Re: Dinner for Out-of-town guests at hotel
Wwe had our rehearsal dinner at the COurtyard MArriot actually, in Ronkonkoma. It was two nights before the wedding, but it was the hotel that everyone was staying at. We didn't have a whole lot of out of towners, so it really wasn't necessary. But after the wedding, we went back to the hotel and my parents hosted an 'after party' in the same room that the rehearsal dinner was in....and it was great! a lot of people dropped by and we had a blast. the staff there was AMAZING!!! the next morning, they even opened the room up to us again for breakfast for all of us!

We had dinner for our OOT guests...no real rehearsal. We had a breakfast at the courtyard marriott in Ronkonkoma for them as well the day after the wedding. Everything was fantastic! Good luck.

We are having out RD, which is turning out to be a dinner for OOT guests, at Jillian's.
We didn't want that many people there but FMIL insisted since most of her people are OOT. FH and I are having a BBQ for our bridal party at my mom's house Thurs night so they can get to know each other and to give out gifts.
